Effective church administration allows each community of faith to operate to its fullest potential and creates space for all people to grow, worship, and serve. Attending to the details of congregational life involves organization and inspiration, along with conflict resolution and stress management at times.
How does compassion and the love that Jesus taught about provide us examples for doing ministry today?
Contact Harriet to have further conversation about how compassion relates to building a community of faith. Compassion towards others, starts with us having compassion for ourselves.
Even Jesus knew that he needed time. He stepped back from his preaching, teaching and mentoring to have time with God.

Strategic Planning
Year 1 -Take time to evaluate the current ministry work of the faith community and look at what is working and not working, which includes administration committees, programs and community involvement.
Then start by making a list to prioritize what needs to be done first then move down the list. If new items come to her attention, the list will be updated. Which also includes examining the community at large to see who the congregation can partner with to share resources and develop ministry.
Year 2 – After taking the first year to get to know the faith community and the surrounding community and learning the intricates of the faith community. Continue working with the church leadership to define where God is calling them in ministry and with whom to be in ministry with. Are they supposed to be centered on children, youth, young adult or adult ministry? Is God calling them end something and to begin something new?
Continue to network and to build community partnership. This includes partnering with the local community and to expand ministry the gifts of those who attend the faith community into the local community.
Year 3 – Continue building the community of faith and building the bridges to the local community. This includes further evaluating the ministries that have been established and new ones from the first year to see if they are still vital to the local community and growing the body of the community of faith.
Years 4 & 5 – The 4th and 5th years of ministry are to be negotiated with the leadership and/ or pastor regarding additional support time for ministry work. To consider items that still need to be addressed within and with further developing partnerships in the local community.
